Durante tres semanas han estado trabajando con beb\u00e9s prematuros y sus familias para tratar y evitar la ceguera infantil. Gracias a la celebraci\u00f3n del Congreso de pediatras, y como ponientes del acontecimiento, pudieron explicar el funcionamiento del servicio de Early Intervenion a Anantapur, un servicio que empez\u00f3 en 2008, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Fundaci\u00f3n Vicente Ferrer para detectar y tratar a beb\u00e9s y ni\u00f1os prematuros con patolog\u00edas visuales. Animando a los profesionales locales de pediatr\u00eda, para empezar un nuevo servicio de atenci\u00f3n temprana en sus respectivas regiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante su estancia, tanto a Bathalapalli como el Hospital de Kaliandurg, pudieron visitar a ni\u00f1os prematuros y con dificultades visuales. As\u00ed mismo, se imparti\u00f3 el curso de atenci\u00f3n temprana tanto a profesionales de la UCI como enfermeras que trabajan con beb\u00e9s. Todas estas pr\u00e1cticas y formaciones dotan de conocimientos a profesionales locales que a la larga ayudan a mejorar la salud ocular de los ni\u00f1os ya mejorar sus perspectivas de futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante esta comisi\u00f3n, nos hemos dado cuenta de la importancia de tener profesionales locales con conocimientos para prevenir la ceguera evitable, especialmente en India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Psic\u00f3loga Merc\u00e8 Leonhardt muestra cierta preocupaci\u00f3n por c\u00f3mo ir\u00e1n las cosas en el futuro en en cuanto a la Organizaci\u00f3n RDT \u201ces muy dif\u00edcil trabajar con las condiciones pertinentes para ofrecer atenci\u00f3n de calidad a los ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as y sus familias\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sin embargo, el equipo, valora muy positivamente el inter\u00e9s y la implicaci\u00f3n de las enfermeras. Hacen una gran labor con las familias, lo cual supone una reducci\u00f3n de trastornos en el desarrollo de los ni\u00f1os, dedicando esfuerzos y sobre todo haciendo un gran trabajo de prevenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
